Leading public rapid electric vehicle charging network, InstaVolt, has announced a special promotional price to celebrate the start of the Icelandic summer season and support EV drivers as more tourists head to the stunning country.

The new price of 48ISK per kW is available now and will last for three months across InstaVolt’s rapid charging sites across Iceland.

This includes InstaVolt’s flagship EV charging hub – the largest in the country with 20 chargers, which opened in June last year at the Courtyard by Marriott hotel just five minutes from Keflavik Airport.

The latest offer from InstaVolt can also be found at the charging stations at Fridheimar Tomato Farm which has four ultra rapid 160kW chargers. This is one of the country’s top tourist destinations, which is often included on the Golden Circle tour, just 20 minutes from Gullfoss Falls and 30 minutes from the world-famous geysers in Haukadular valley.

InstaVolt, which has a reputation for reliability and ease of use with payment by contactless debit or credit card, has plans for a further 200 installations in Iceland over the next two years.

InstaVolt CEO, Adrian Keen, said: “As the summer season begins, we want residents and tourists to know our reliable network is always close at hand, offering not just great value for money but a rapid charge which will enable EV drivers to get charged up and back on the road in no time.”

InstaVolt is launching new ultra-rapid chargers in Reykholt, Siglufjordur and Husavik, which will all benefit from the new lower promotional price.
